How excited I am to start work. I really hope that I get some calls soon for some kids! Not just for the fact that it will keep me busy during the week. But for the fact that we will not be so stressed about money. We are starting to get things together, and actually had to consolidate our debt..which in the long run will be better considering all of our debt will be in one place and we can get all our stupid decisions paid off. We both made a lot of stupid choices when we were younger and now have the debt to show for it. But the good thing is, since our first consolidation payment is tomorrow, once brad is done with school we are using his sign on bonus to pay for the rest and it will be gone! Besides my medical debt which we are paying monthly for. Gotta love 14,000 for having a baby. And if you are wondering why..because when I got pregnant I was supposed to be getting new insurance through my job..well, then I was pregnant and considered pre-existing. So yup, I had to use a discount plan, which ended up screwing me in the end anyway. So lovely. But now that I will start work hopefully in the next two weeks, everything will be so much easier! I cannot wait for all of that to be lifted off of our shoulders.
In other news I am driving to Milwaukee on Monday to take Mason to the urologist. Another lovely insurance story. When Mason was born since I did not have insurance we were going to just pay for a policy just for him. Well when I called all these insurance companies, I was told that since it was an individual plan for him he needed to be 31 days old and have a clean bill of health (bullcrap, right?) which means, if something would have been wrong with him..we would have been screwed. How they live with themselves, I have no idea. So mason's doctor didn't circumcise in the hospital. So when we took him in 2 days after leaving the hospital for jaundice they had asked if I just wanted to wait until insurance kicked in...never telling me that there was a time limit for when a baby can be circumcised by the doctor. So when I took him in for his 2 month appointment, they told me ohh it is too late now to do it here. WTF! Which, if I would have known that I would have just figured out a way to pay up front for it. So I was told he would need to see a urologist and be sedated for the procedure! Sad, right! But after weighing out all the options, I still want it done. Especially, because my husband is and I really don't want Mason to have to ask questions when he is older and after doing some research I feel like it is the cleaner option. Sooo..on Monday we are going to the urologist in Milwaukee to get it all figured out. I am super nervous because he knows where his "thing" is now and if he tries to touch it after the surgery! AHHHH! But anyway, I feel bad but I know it is the right decision! Hopefully Monday goes well!
Ohh and Mason signed "please" today! Yayyy! So excited. So he now signs please, all done, and more! My smart boy! :)

Aw! You are such an awesome mommy :) I hope the urology appt goes well. And don't worry about debt. I know it is rough, but you could only pay the hospital $10 a month and they would have to take it!! How do you teach Mason to sign? Do you use signing time?
Aww. Thanks Melissa! :) Yeah I am paying them what I can. They of course keep bugging me to pay more, but they will just have to live with that! I actually want to get the Signing Time dvd's for him to have him learn a little bit more. But I have just been teaching it to him as we do things. I use it often! My great-grandparents were actually deaf so I know some from that. And I have a couple books and some flash cards. But I really just use it on a daily basis. Like when we eat, I sign eat, more, all done, milk, drink, and I do please and thank you A LOT! And when we sing the ABC's I sign along with it. I am so glad I am doing it. And now he is starting to do it back more, which is great!
